Rear-wheel drive vehicles used to be the only option at one point. Over time, front-wheel drive technology has been developed. In a basic sense, rear-wheel drive vehicles are being pushed down the road, while front-wheel drive cars are being pulled. It may not seem like a big deal, but it makes a difference in how the car handles, especially when road conditions are icy.

Front-wheel drive vehicles continue forward when a skid occurs. Pressing on the gas gets the car back under control. With a rear-wheel drive vehicle, a skid can quickly go out of control because the back of the car will turn in the direction of the skid. Pumping the breaks and steering into the skid is necessary to regain control.

It's less expensive to buy a front-wheel drive vehicle because they cost less to make. We have a variety at Alan Jay Kia, so come check out the inventory we have on our lot today.
