An automaker has to work pretty hard to make Consumer Reports' list of the Eight Most Reliable Cars in America, and Kia not only made the list but moved up a spot from last year. This follow's last year's designation as the number one brand in J.D. Power's annual survey of new model reliability. Competing against every automaker in the industry and with many top spots going to luxury car brands, Kia's evolution into one of the most reliable brands in America is pretty remarkable. The 2017 Kia Optima was also selected by Consumer Reports as the Best Midsize Sedan of the Year. This mighty four-door is competing against industry stalwarts like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry and still manages to claim the prize. Consumer Reports notes that the Optima's "responsive handling, a steady ride and pleasant powertrain, short stopping distance, easy-to-use-controls, and a roomy backseat" all helped propel the 2017 Optima to the top of the heap. Other Kia models recognized include the 2017 Kia Soul and Cadenza, both named 2017 Best Cars for Families by U.S. News & World Report. The Kia Soul offers fantastic tech features such as Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ that keep your family safe on the road while keeping them connected. It's now offered in the new Exclaim trim with a new 201-horsepower turbocharged engine as well as Soul EV which is a battery electric version. The 2017 Kia Cadenza features luxurious touches like rear sunshades and UVO teen-driver controls that are perfect for families with kids of all ages.
