We hate to say "stinks for you", but we're just too sad to be emotionally available right now. Because--as we learned after the debut of the gorgeous and fantastic new Kia Optima Sportswagon at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show earlier this month--the brand's newest estate wagon won't be showing its beautiful face in North America.
At least, for now.
Heading down the path of models like the Kia Cee'd, the Kia Picanto, and the Kia Venga (what are those? exactly) the new Optima Sportswagon will be keeping its awesome new capabilities, stellar new design, and amazing new versatility solidly across the pond.
In Europe.
Far away.
If you need to take a moment to have a good cry, we understand. We'll wait.
Built on the existing Kia Optima sedan, the gorgeous new Sportswagon would have offered a fair and fun alternative to conventional Kia crossover and SUVs, without compromising on cargo space or capability. That is--it would have. We're not bitter.
Like reading a breakup note over and over again, this is the kind of heart-pain that truly needs to be felt to be accepted.
